JAY ROMBACH
COACH
Jay Rombach has an extensive multinational cross-industry career over several decades. Throughout this time, Jay has led projects in talent management for thousands of employees in global firms. His projects extend across business functions including Operations, IT, Sales and Marketing and Finance.
Jay most recently headed the Human Resources Function for Celebrity Cruises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Group (RCG), a $2.2B US-based global company with 85,000 employees worldwide. In this capacity, Jay oversaw HR and Talent Management for 18,000 staff members from 60+ countries. Jay also led HR for employees in all corporate office locations, including Miami, the UK, and Australia, managing the strategic partnership for the brand with the teams in Manila, Philippines. While at RCG, Jay also served as Head of HR for Global Marine Operations and as HR senior liaison for an international business partner company based in Germany. Jay’s HR leadership supported International and domestic Sales and Marketing and Hotel Operations, as well.
For several years, Jay also headed HR Corporate Shared Services, including IT and Finance, at Royal Caribbean Group. Throughout his career, he has led HR for Technology and worked with Chief Financial Officers and Financial Divisions at various companies. Jay’s global HR background also includes project leadership of a Miami-based rotational program for Chinese employees seeking Royal Caribbean International cruise line corporate roles. In this capacity, he also was a strategic contributor for the training school based in China.
Prior to these roles, Jay held HR leadership positions within the global retailing and financial services sectors, while partnering with senior leaders in Mortgage Operations and Bank Card Operations.
Jay is also an active coach to business executives. He has a BS in Psychology with a specialization in Organizational Psychology from Ohio State University, has earned accredited training in coaching and has completed extensive study in emotional intelligence and positive psychology.
