VINCENT THOMAS

Vincent has several decades of international business experience working in the technology sector, including 10+ years living and working exclusively in Asia. He served as a Global Sales Leader for AI solutions at IBM, a $63B American multinational technology company present in 175+ countries.

Most recently, Vincent managed Data, AI and Automation sales for the US National Market at IBM, leading a diverse team of sales professionals for IBM flagship technologies across multiple industry sectors. Having joined IBM through acquisition of the US-based startup company Vivisimo Inc., where he was Vice President of International Sales, Vincent also held various worldwide management positions for IBM’s emerging natural language processing and AI search technologies around the globe. In addition, Vincent held executive positions at London-based internet startup Bowstreet.com (also acquired by IBM) and Timesys Corp., where he served as Vice President of International Business Development. Throughout these experiences, Vincent has led high-performance sales teams, both in the US and internationally, around the world.

After growing up in Ireland, Vincent earned a B.Sc. honors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology. Through a scholarship from the Irish Government, Vincent then moved to Japan, where he spent a total of 12 years living in Tokyo and working throughout Asia. Vincent established the Asian operations for Tivoli Systems Inc., a US technology company which was subsequently launched on the Nasdaq Stock Market and eventually acquired by IBM.

Fluent in Japanese, Vincent holds the highest level N1 certification for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. He also holds a Licentiate from Trinity College London in piano performance, and has served as a music teacher at the Dublin College of Music.
