Alex Hernandez has 30+ years of technology leadership experience from Microsoft, KPMG, Accenture, and SAP, working in people management, program management, outsourcing, consulting, coaching practice development, IT service management (ITSM), IT Operations, DevOps, Agile and Cloud Computing. He has also contributed to initiatives surrounding organizational change management, IT strategy, Generative AI, and information security/risk management, for some of the largest Fortune 500 clients globally. Alex’s background includes numerous industry verticals (technology, education, media, entertainment, financial services and healthcare) and international projects (in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe and India).

In addition, Alex has also served as Delivery Director at Microsoft, KPMG, Accenture and G2G3/Plexent, building out the Center of Excellence on ITSM best practices, to educate and mentor the ITSM consulting workforce of 200+ junior and senior advisors.

Alex has an MBA in IT Management and obtained the Master (highest) level of ITIL certification. His earlier education includes a BBA, with a concentration in Marketing, along with PMP certification and credentials as both an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach and a Positive Intelligence Coach. Alex is also a published author for ISO/IEC 20000 – Rise of a New Service Paradigm and the ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000: A Practical Handbook, while serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Dallas MBA program for 5 years, Moreover, Alex was instrumental in architecting the first Master’s programs in the United States with a concentration in ITSM. Relatedly, Alex received the Knowledge Contribution Award from ITSMF USA in 2007 and 2009 for industry and academic contributions toward bringing ITSM into Bachelor’s and Master’s curricula for 35+ universities worldwide.
